Vergie Mae Rogers, 89, of Hartselle passed away Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at Decatur Morgan Hospital. She is preceded in death by her parents Virgil and Edna Briggs Cooper, a sister, Lucille and two brothers, Robert and Kenneth. She is survived by her husband Kenneth W. Rogers, a son, Robert “Mike” Rogers and wife Nancy; two grandchildren, Michelle Woodworth (Wayne), and Jodie Day (Mark); two great grandchildren; two sisters, Freda Bowman and Marie Stephenson and a brother Gerald Cooper. Visitation will be Friday, July 15, 2016 from 10:00am until 11:00am at Hartselle Heritage Funeral Home followed by a 11:00am chapel service. Burial will follow at Hartselle Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to be made to the American Heart Association. Hartselle Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family.
