Funeral services for Mrs. Vergie Lee Sullivan Doss, of Stevens Creek Drive, North Augusta, South Carolina, who entered into rest Nov. 16, 2014, will be conducted today, 11:30 a.m., from the Akins Funeral Chapel. Reverend Clifton Busler is officiating. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be nephews.
Mrs. Doss was a native of Lawrence County, Tennessee and a former resident of Russellville, Alabama, having made North Augusta her home for the past 12 years. She was a homemaker and a member of the Methodist faith. Mrs. Doss was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Basil D. Doss, three brothers, and three sisters.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, James Danny and Kim Doss, Mobile, Alabama; a daughter and son-in-law, Dianne Doss and John Wise, North Augusta, South Carolina; a sister, Flora Dolan, Decatur, Alabama; sister-in-law, Chloie Doss Southern and husband, Crant; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Oak Grove Cemetery, 12105 Hwy 81 Russellville, AL 35654.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
