Vera Mae Whitehead (nee Fugatt), age 82, went home to be with the Lord, February 1, 2015.
She was born in Flintville, TN and had lived in Boaz Alabama before moving to North Ridgeville, Ohio.
Vera was a member of Harvest Ridge Church in North Ridgeville and Lake City Assambly of God in Guntersville, AL. Her greatest joys in life were; being with her family, family reunions and helping with her church.
Survivors include her daughter, Marge (Glenn) Pope of North Ridgeville; granddaughters, Charlotte Blodgett of Sheffield Lake and Jennifer (Dave) Elswick of North Ridgeville; 4 great-grandchildren; brother, Herman (Eva) Fugatt of Leetoa, OH; sisters, Helen (Talmadge) Pruitt of Boaz, AL and Rebecca (Joe) LaNasa of Strongsville; sister-in-law, Dorothy Fugatt of Aurora; step-daughter Ann (Mason) Coker of Altoona, AL; step-grandchildren, Jason (Terrri) Tucker, Joshua (Diane) Hogeland, Angela (Mark) Oden, Joshua (Beth) Coker; 9 step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband Clay Lamkin in 1972, her second husband Doyle “Buddy” Whitehead in 2005; parents, Rev. Earl Fugatt and Clemmie Fugatt-Patterson; brothers, Leon Fugatt and James Fugatt.
Funeral Services will be held at Lake City Assembly of God in Guntersville, 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 7, 2015, with Pastor Gary Kraft officiating she will lie-in-state at the church form 9 till 10, interment will follow at Lathamville Cemetery. Friends may visit Friday, Feb. 6, 2015 from 6 till 8 at Boaz Carr Funeral Home
