Vera Lee Jackson Nemeth, age 70, passed away Wednesday, June 1, 2016, at her residence. Visitation will be Friday, June 3, from 6:00 until 9:00 at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will be Saturday, June 4, at 2:00 in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be at Colbert Memorial Gardens. Bro. Frank Mills and Carlos Nelson will officiate.
She was a native of Franklin County, AL. She was a member of Cross Point Church of Christ and an educator of 30 years retiring from Sheffield City Schools.
She is preceded in death by her father, James A. Jackson and mother, Ophia H. Jackson.
Survivors are her husband, George R. Nemeth; her children, Jeffrey Posey and Laura (Ben) Norton; stepchildren, Mark (Kim) Nemeth, John (Suley) Nemeth and June Blackwell; grandchildren, Elizabeth and Luke Posey, Collin and Kellee Willis, Hayden and Hunter Blackwell, Natalie and Addison Nemeth; sisters, Wanda (Rauney) Mitchell and Nell (Stanley) Brook and her beloved dog, Maggie.
Pallbearers include Mark Brook, Brian Brook, Todd Nelms, Carlos Nelson, Douglas Hargett and J.W. Martin. Honorary pallbearers are Collin Willis, Hayden Blackwell, Hunter Blackwell and Luke Posey.
