Vera Beatrice Fowler, age 99 of Huntland, passed away on Monday, December 9, 2019 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Princeton, Alabama on September 12, 1920 to the late Murphy Alexander and Jessie Beatrice (Atnip) Panter. A dedicated homemaker and gardener, she loved sharing her vegetables with family and friends. Beatrice was a member of Donaldson Grove Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Levoyd Fowler; siblings, Sue Alice Panter, Hallie June Panter Prince, Vivian Lucille Panter Morris, Mary Mable Panter Campbell, Lillian Juanita Panter Hendon, Murphy Lois Panter, and James Pink Panter; daughter, Linda Lee Fowler Arnold; and daughter-in-law, Carol Fowler. Beatrice is survived by her loving children, Carolyn (Roy) Mason of Winchester, and Eddie Fowler of Huntland; son-in-law, Mitchell Arnold of Kelso; grandchildren, Kevin (Lynette) Arnold, Karen (DaJuan) Tillman, Troy Fowler, Keith Arnold, Todd (Michelle) Fowler, Travis (Leigh Ann) Fowler, Robin (Brett) Gilliam, and Amy (Kevin) Fair; and thirteen great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 1-2 pm on Friday, December 13, 2019 at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 2:00 pm in the Moore-Cortner Chapel with Bro. Ray Gardner officiating.
