Venetia Fhey Jones, age 58 of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at her residence. She was born in Winchester on November 19, 1962 to the late Edward and Delthenia Jones. In high school, she was a star basketball player for the Franklin County Rebelettes. After graduation, Venetia attended Middle Tennessee State University. She had been employed in the retail industry in sales. Venetia was a member of Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church. She is survived by her uncles, Sam (Truthia) Jones and Walter (Charlene) Jones, both of Saginaw, Michigan; aunts, Barbara (Gordon) Nichols and Louise Jones both of Saginaw, Michigan and Billie Jones of Decherd; a host of cousins, family, and friends; and special friend and caregiver, Jennita Dews. Visitation will be from 10-11:30 am on Saturday, May 29, 2021 at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Graveside Services will follow at 12:00 noon at Franklin Memorial Gardens with Rev.
