Vanessa Hestla Gullett, 54, of Tuscumbia passed away Friday, December 19, 2014.
The visitation will be Monday from 12:00 – 3:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia with the funeral immediately following in the funeral home chapel, Bro. Larry Smart is officiating. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery, Tuscumbia.
Her family would like to thank Dr. Jack McLendon and staff. Also, a very special thank you to Dr. Michael Straughn and staff at UAB GYNX and the nurses and staff on the 7th floor of the UAB Women & Infants Center.
Vanessa was preceded in death by her father, Walt Hestla.
Vanessa is survived by her loving husband, Mike Gullett; daughters, Whitney Fowler (Matt) and Christy Evans (Jimmy); mother, Alma Hestla; sister, Vickey Moon (Davis); granddaughter, Blakely Evans; in-laws, Martha Gullett and the late Roy Gullett Jr.; brother & sister-in-law, Donnie and Jan Gullett; niece, Erin Pounders (Dustin); nephews, Mitch Moon (Tashina) and Wesley Gullett; great niece, Elisa Ruth Pounders.
Pallbearers will include Barry Stell, John Rouss, Rodney McNary, Stan Stanford, Greg Matthews and Bryce Graham Jr.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to UAB Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology, 1700 6th Avenue South, Women & Infants Center Room 10250 Birmingham, AL 35233.
