Funeral service for Uyless “Quindle” Joe Terry, age 73, of Moulton will be Monday, September 15, 2014, at 2 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lavanul Sherrill and Rev. Gerald Sherrill officiating. Burial will be in Moulton Memory Garden. Visitation will be today, September 14, 2014, from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
Mr. Terry, who died September 12, 2014, at Huntsville Hospital was born March 11, 1941, in Lawrence County to Uyless “Boots” Terry and Lurdean Hutto Terry. He was owner of Bullhead Salvage and attended Harvest Field Pentecostal Church. Mr. Terry was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Gaylon Terry and Kyle Terry.
Survivors include sons, Bud Sledge (Marissa) of Decatur, Quindle Terry Jr. (Jackie), Michael Terry (Susan) both of Moulton; daughters, Lisa Thrasher (Tony) of Decatur and Caroline Cassimus (George) of Athens; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brothers Billy Terry (Judy), Bradley Terry (Tammy), Bryan Terry (Donna), Barry Terry (Lisa); sisters, Fay Nell Jones, Belinda Early (F.D.), Donna Ward (Ronnie); and a true best friend, Jerry Marvin Hutto.
Pallbearers will be grandsons and nephews.
