Unofficial results from the August 26 Athens Municipal Election

ATHENS-Please note that these final election results from all districts  in the City of Athens will remain unofficial until the provisional ballots are tabulated prior to the canvassing meeting which will be this Tuesday, Sept. 2, at noon. Official certification of the results will occur at that time.

*William R. “Ronnie” Marks — 2,415 (57.36%)

Danny Whitfield — 1,557 (36.98%)

Mark Wilson — 238 (5.65%)

Tim Colling — 243 (19.18%)

*Allen Creasy — 1,024 (80.82%)

Kellie Dye — 68 (10.64%)

James Lucas — 294 (46.01%)

Henry A. White — 277 (43.35%)

*Dana Sims Henry — 644 (72.20%)

Jarrod Schulte — 248 (27.80%)

Jamie Elliott — 98 (25.72%)

*Amy Golden — 283 (74.28%)

Also note that no candidate received a majority vote in the District 3 race, so this race will proceed to a runoff election which will take place on Sept. 23 between James Lucas and Henry White.
