ARAB-The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports an ATV accident has taken the live of a Union Grove teen and sent another to hospital:
“A single-vehicle crash involving an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) that occurred at approximately 11:50 p.m. Monday, July 22, has claimed the life of an Union Grove teen.
The 15-year-old was critically injured when the 2015 Honda four-wheeler ATV that the teen was operating left the roadway and struck a tree. After the initial impact, the juvenile and another 15-year-old teen, who was a passenger, was thrown from the Honda. Neither were using a helmet at the time of crash.
Both teens were injured and transported to an area hospital for treatment. The teen, who was the operator of the Honda, later succumbed to injuries and was pronounced deceased while at the hospital.
The crash occurred on Union Chapel Road near Union Grove Road, approximately four miles north of Arab, in Marshall County.
Nothing further is available as Troopes with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.”
