FLORENCE – Uninvited walk-on Lions player, Bradley Patterson of Red Bay, was invited to clean out his locker last night. The unceremonious boot came from Athletic Director Mark Linder after numerous people complained that Patterson had allegedly tweeted racist remarks about President Obama.

The tweets were posted during the President’s speech in Newtown, Connecticut to family members and townspeople who were affected by the shooting tragedy of last Friday. The speech had preempted the 1st quarter of the 49ers -Patriots football game on NBC. According to several news reports, Patterson and numerous other football fans began a racist diatribe against the preemption.
