Two-Vehicle Crash In Marion County Leaves One Dead Another In Hospital With Injuries

MARION COUNTY-The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports a two-vehicle accident invloving a motorcycle, near Guin in Marion County has taken the life of one person and sent another to hospital with injuries:

“A two-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 9:02 p.m. Monday, June 22, has claimed the life of a Guin man.

Justin L. Stidham, 25, was critically injured when the 2006 Suzuki VZ800 motorcycle he was operating was struck by the 2020 Hyundai Santa Fe driven by Kristy L. Comer, 44, of Brillant. After the initial impact, the motorcycle left the roadway and struck a sign. Stidham was thrown from the motorcycle and was transported to North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, Miss. for treatment. Comer was injured and transported to Northwest Regional Health in Winfield for medical treatment.

On Monday, June 29, Stidham succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased while at the hospital.

The crash occurred on Alabama 253 near the six mile-marker, approximately three miles northeast of Guin, in Marion County.

Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.”
