CHEROKEE-The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports a two-vehicle crash that took the life of a Cherokee man on Wednesday, September 27:
“A two-vehicle crash at 7:45 p.m. Wednesday, Sepetember 27, has claimed the life of a Cherokee man.
Eddie Dean Smith, 56, was killed when the 2003 Yamaha motorcycle he was operating collided with a 2017 GMC pickup. Smith was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash occurred on U.S. 72 at the five-mile marker, approximately five miles west of Cherokee.
Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.”
