Two-Vehicle Accident Near Huntsville Takes Life Of Ardmore Man

HUNTSVILLE-The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports av two-vehicle accident near Huntsville that has taken the life of one person and sent another an to hospital in Huntsville:

“A two-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 12:40 a.m. Friday, November 4 has claimed the life of an Ardmore, Tennessee man.

Ronnie D. Clifton, 69, was fatally injured when the 1997 Ford F250 in which he was a passenger, struck a 2020 Freightliner tractor-trailer driven by Donald L. Shackleford, 41, of Calvert City, Kentucky.  Clifton was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the Ford, John W. Crunk Jr., 65, of Ardmore, Tennessee, was injured and transported to Huntsville Hospital for treatment.

The crash occurred on Alabama 53 near Old Railroad Bed Road, approximately 10 miles north of Huntsville, in Madison County. Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.”
