Motorcycle Accident In Jackson County Takes Life Of One Person

JACKSON, TN-The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports a single-vehicle accident involving a motorcycle in Jackson County has taken the life of one person:

 “A single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 1 p.m. Monday, April 14, has claimed the life of a Henagar man.

Zachary S. Smith, 27, was fatally injured when the 2003 Yamaha Road Star motorcycle he was operating left roadway and struck a ditch. Smith was thrown from the motorcycle and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The crash occurred on Jackson County 78 near Jackson County 778, approximately five miles west of Ider, in Jackson County.

Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.”
