TUSCUMBIA-The Tuscumbia Police Department is investigating an incident that occurred at 10:10 on Friday morning.
The incident happened at the intersection of Dickson Street and Second Street. The incident involved a Ford F-550 truck and a motorcycle. The driver of the motorcycle was airlifted to Huntsville hospital in stable condition and the driver of the truck was not injured. The driver of the Ford F-550 left the scene and was later located on Water Street adjacent to the Colbert County Courthouse.
The driver of the motorcycle from the accident on Friday morning remains in stable condition at Huntsville Hospital. Investigators were not able to interview him today due to his medical condition but hope to interview him over the weekend.
At this time no charges have resulted from the incident and the case remains an active investigation. This was an isolated incident and there is no reason that the community should be concerned.
