TUSCUMBIA – The man suspected in the murder of 29-year-old Kendrick Graham is in custody under a $200 -thousand bond, according to Police Chief Tony Logan. According to chief Logan, “The murder suspect was taken into custody shortly after 2:45PM today by Tuscumbia Police. He surrendered himself to authorities without incident.”
Gregory Martez Childress, 28, turned himself in at the police department. He has not been released and is incarcerated at the Colbert County Jail.
According to Chief Logan, Childress went to his estranged wife’s residence and encountered Kendrick Graham at the residence where the shooting allegedly took place.
Chief Logan said, “The Tuscumbia Police Department wants to thank Shoals Area law Enforcement agencies and specifically the U.S. Marshalls Gulf Coast Regional fugitive Task Force for the critical information in this case. We are confident that the only suspect in this case is now in custody.”
