Trula Mae McBrayer, 85, Tuscumbia, passed away on Thursday, April 3, 2025. Visitation will be Saturday, April 5, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will be Sunday, April 6, in the funeral home chapel beginning at 3:00 p.m. with Rod Stansky officiating. Interment will be Mitchell Cemetery, Tuscumbia.
Trula was a member of the Baptist faith. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Trula was loved by everyone and will be dearly missed. She was preceded in death by her husband, Preston McBrayer; parents, Bradford and Winnie Gilliland; granddaughter, Samantha Woods; great-grandson, Cody Alex McBrayer; and seven brothers.
Trula is survived by her children, Bennie McBrayer (Donna), Lloyd McBrayer (Alina), Charles McBrayer (Bonnie), and Sharon Copeland (Jerome); grandchildren, Robert McBrayer, Corey McBrayer, Winnie Davenport, Mandy McBrayer, Mac Seamons, Chassity Staggs, Joseph McBrayer, Daniel McBrayer, Cory Copeland, Phil Hodsdon, and Sharlett Owens; twenty-three great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Joseph McBrayer, Daniel McBrayer, Cory Copeland, Phil Hodsdon, James Owens, Mac Seamons, Austin Seamons, and William McCollum.
