Trudye Carolyn “Grammy” Judd Wagnon, 79, of Sheffield, Alabama passed away Tuesday, April 9, 2019. Visitation will be Monday, April 15, 2019 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at First Baptist Church of Sheffield. Celebration of Life Service will follow officiated by Reverend Warren Jones at 1:00 PM at the church with committal and interment at Sheffield Oakwood Cemetery. Morrison Funeral Home will be directing.
Carolyn was born September 10, 1939 in Huntsville, Alabama. Her family moved to Sheffield in 1941. She and her husband, Stuart Wagnon were married July 3,1960. She has been a member of First Baptist Church of Sheffield for 70 years. Her main hobbies were crocheting and being a mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Carolyn is known by her family and many others as “Grammy” or “Grams”. She began her career as a teenager working at Sheffield Public Library and worked as a Secretary at Southern Sash, Reynolds, FBC of Sheffield, Sheffield High School and retired as Unit Secretary at Helen Keller Hospital in Sheffield. Carolyn is a graduate of Sheffield High School Class of 1957 and graduate of Larimore Business College, Florence, Alabama.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Stuart Lamar Wagnon; parents, Leo Harold Judd, Sr. and Myrtle Parvin Judd; mother-in-law, Jessie Underwood Wagnon; father-in-law, Lambert Wagnon; brother, L. Harold Judd, Jr; brother-in-law, Hugh Monday; brother-in-law, Foy Wagnon; Sister-in-law, Shirley Wagnon.
She is survived by her daughters Vicki Wagnon Jones (Warren), Kristl Wagnon Walls (John), Cori Wagnon Alsbrooks (John); sister, Donna Judd Monday; sisters-in-law,
Barbara Judd and Sandra Wagnon Holland; grandchildren, Katie Jones Davis (Eddron), Rosie Jones Meyer (Kevin), Sallie Jones (Robbie Sperry), John-Stuart Jones, Caden Davis, Chasity Alsbrooks Tellin (Erik), Brett Alsbrooks, Timothy Alsbrooks, Tyler Alsbrooks; 19 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Sallie Jones, Caden Davis, John-Stuart Jones, John Alsbrooks, John Walls, Eddron Davis, Kevin Meyer, Gabe Davis, Cameron Davis, and Aiden Ricketts.
