Troy Raymond Sanders, 59, of Scottsboro, Alabama, was born on November 12, 1966, in Scottsboro and passed away on Monday, July 13, 2026, at Huntsville Hospital in Huntsville, Alabama.
Troy cherished the time he spent with his loved ones and friends. He was an avid Alabama Crimson Tide football fan and never missed an opportunity to enjoy professional wrestling. His kind heart, sense of humor, and love for those around him will be remembered by all who knew him.
He is survived by the love of his life, Kat Pruitt; his three stepchildren, Mandy (Monte) Escue, Jennifer Duncan, and BJ Mason; his cherished grandchildren, Paige, Devon, Dylan, KD, and Tori; his brothers, Steven (Dawn) Sanders and Jimmy Sanders; two nieces, Debbie (Kevin) Kloda and Stephanie (Talon) Morris; and one nephew, Joey Stout. He also leaves behind many extended family members and friends who will deeply miss him.
Troy was preceded in death by his parents, Billy Ray Sanders and Betty Sanders Welch; his grandparents, John and Fanny Sanders; and Butch and Billie Bradford.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Friday, July 17, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00
p.m. at Scottsboro Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Scottsboro Funeral Home with Brother Brady Roe officiating. Burial will follow at Pinehaven Memorial Gardens in Hollywood, Alabama.
Troy’s memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved him. Though he will be greatly missed, his legacy of love and laughter will never be forgotten.
