Troy Garland Collins, 81, of Muscle Shoals, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 15, 2014. Visitation will be Wednesday Feb. 19, from noon-1 p.m. at Colbert Memorial Chapel with funeral services to begin at 1 p.m. in the chapel. Burial will follow at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens. Brother Shiloh Hackett is officiating.
Mr. Collins retired from Ford Motor Company after 20 plus years of loyal service. He served as the bargaining chairman for the local UAW during this time as well. Troy served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He was also a man of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by one brother and five sisters.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Willovene Collins; daughter, Karen Knight (Michael); grandsons, Rush Knight (Rachel) and Seth Knight; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Michael Knight, Rush Knight, Seth Knight, Ted Everett, Donnie Mayfield I, and Frank Pielach. Honorary pallbearer will be John Patterson.
The family would especially like to thank our friend and caretaker, Marsha Everett.
