FLORENCE-The Tri-State Center for Breast Health at ECM East located at 2111 Cloyd Boulevard in Florence held an open house and ribbon cutting on Wednesday, January 21st with the help of The shoals chamber . They showcased the facility and cut a ribbon to celebrate the further care for women’s health.
Here is a little about Tri-State Center for Breast Health:
“Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital’s new
dedicated out-patient center is designed to
meet the health needs of women in
northwest Alabama, southern Tennessee
and northeast Mississippi.
The Tri-State Center for Breast Health at
ECM East consolidates recommended
annual health tests and screens in one
central location. The available tests include
digital mammography, bone-density
studies, ultrasounds and now on-site
stereotactic biopsies. While our hospital
has offered all these services for many
years, the consolidation of services in one
convenient out-patient location will provide
ease of scheduling, faster service, less
stress and quicker results for our patients.
Currently, if an abnormality is detected through the mammography
process, patients are re-scheduled for a surgical or stereotactic biopsy.
With our new on-site stereotactic unit the “next step” becomes easier to
schedule and complete. The stereotactic procedure uses x-ray guided
equipment in the removal of suspicious cells for pathology diagnosis.
ECM Hospital has recruited and brought to the tri-state area over 60 new
medical providers, new service lines such as neurology, rheumatology,
endocrinology, infectious diseases, gerontology and enhanced cardiac and
vascular services. These efforts reflect our mission – treating you like
family, with the peace of mind that comes from extraordinary care, close
to home.”
The Shoals Chamber was on hand to capture the event in photos. We present them to you here:
