Travis Edgar Lawson, 51, passed away on Monday, Jan. 6, 2025, at UAB Birmingham.The family will welcome friends at the Kilgore-Green Funeral Home Chapel, Sunday, Jan. 12, 2025, from 6 until 8 p.m. Service will be Monday, Jan. 13, 2025, at 11 a.m. in the Kilgore-Green Chapel with burial at New Hope Cemetery. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wennieth Eulas and Mary Annette Lawson; Aunt “Mom” Addie May Sparks; siblings, Donna Wyenette Lawson & Wennieth Heath Lawson; grandparents, Eulas Edgar Lawson, Leona North, Rudolph Brown and Annie Lee Kilgore.
He is survived by his wife, Sherrie Burttram Lawson; stepmother, Sandra Lawson; sister Holly Lawson; brother, Brian Lawson (Melissa); stepsister, Dana Crowell; stepbrother, Daryl Blankenship (Renee); mother-in-law, Frances Burttram; niece, Tyler Carroll; nephew, Austin Carroll; beloved four-legged child, Bandit; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He attained the Master Mechanic License, and was a heavy equipment operator and truck driver.
