Wyketia Latray Harris

DECATUR-The Decatur Police Department made a routine traffic stop on Tuesday, January 6th resulting in an arrest.  Here is how the Decatur Police describe events leading up to the arrest:

“SYNOPSIS OF OFFENSE & ARREST:
On January 6, 2014, members of the Decatur Police Department’s Anti-Crime Unit were patrolling in the area of 14th Ave and 4th St NW. Officer Kitchens conducted a traffic stop on a white Oldsmobile on Monroe Dr. near 14th Ave NW for a seat belt violation.
Officer Kitchens identified the driver of the vehicle as Wyketia Latray Harris. During the course of the investigation, Harris was found to be in the possession of a quantity of powder cocaine, prescription medication without a prescription and drug paraphernalia. It was also determined that Harris’ driver’s license was revoked.
Harris was placed under arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Illegal Possession of Prescription Drugs, Driving While Revoked and No Seat Belt. Harris was transported to the Decatur City Jail where she was processed in.
Harris will later be transferred to the Morgan County Jail in lieu of a $4,500.00 bond.”
