Tracy Lynn Pate, age 47 of Ashland, passed away on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at the Gadsden Regional Medical Center. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
Ms. Pate was a native of Tuscaloosa and had been raised there but had lived most of her life in Clay County. Tracy obtained her GED and joined the Job Corps Program in Kentucky where she was a certified heavy equipment operator. She then became a Certified Nursing Assistant and worked at the Talladega Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for five years. Following that, Tracy worked at TruWood Cabinetry for seven years.
Ms. Pate is survived by her parents: Louise and Frank Griffin of Ashland; one sister, Lisa Pate Denson of Ashland; her best friend and sister at heart, Tiffany Ellenburg and her son Paxton of Lincoln; three brothers: Ruben Pate (Crystal), Jason Thompson, both of Bibb County and DeWayne Wilson of Mississippi; two nieces: Anna Jackson and Marie Pate; three nephews: Blake, Drake and Tyler Pate plus a large extended family.
The family requests no flowers but because of Tracy’s love of animals, contributions in her memory may be made to the Clay County Animal Shelter – 43 Ratley Rd, Ashland, AL 36251.
