Tony Edward Johns, age 66 of Rogersville, Alabama died peacefully at home on March 1, 2026. He was born in Rogersville in 1959 to parents, Buel and Dorothy Johns. Mr. Johns retired after 30 years with the Chrysler Corporation, was a member of the First Baptist Church of Rogersville, an avid gardener, and loved to fish.
Mr. Johns was preceded in death by his parents, Buel and Dorothy Johns, brother, Wayne Johns, and sister, Gail Farrell.
He is survived by his loving wife, Eva Johns, children, Tresea Walker, Jamey Mayes (Robbie), eight grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
There will be a visitation at Spry Funeral Home of Athens Friday, March 6th from 12:00 to service time. Services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 6, 2026, in the Spry Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Bertis Ray and Jason Middleton. Interment will follow at Civitan Cemetery in Rogersville.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
