Tonie Monk, age 72, passed away surrounded by family on January 2, 2025. The Funeral Service is 11 a.m. Sunday, January 5, 2025 in the chapel of Sellars Funeral Home, Lebanon TN. Interment in Ever Rest Cemetery, Pleasant View TN, will follow the service. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 3-7 p.m. and on Sunday from 10 a.m. until the service at 11 a.m.
Tonie Darlene Fortner Monk was born in Nashville TN to Dorothy Louise Phelps Fortner and Clarence Fortner. Tonie grew up on the lake and had a life-long love of boating. She also enjoyed reading, playing games on her iPad, and shopping online and QVC. Tonie also enjoyed going to the grandchildren’s sporting events.
Mrs. Monk is survived by her husband of 27 years, Rocky Monk, daughter Kim Constratas, grandchildren Taylor Grimes and Tommy Grimes, sister Beverly Cope, and nephew Mike (Angie) Oatman. She is preceded in death by son Brian Scott Grimes, and parents Dot and Tommy Fortner.
