Mr. Tommy Louis White, Sr. was born January 2, 1962 to the late Edward and Corstella White, in Gadsden, Alabama. He departed this life Monday, March 7, 2016 at Huntsville Hospital.
Tommy accepted Christ through baptism and joined the Lakewood Presbyterian Church under the pastorage of the Reverend Frank Perris in 1977. He was a graduate of J.O. Johnson High School where he did four years of ROTC. He joined the Marines and was enlisted until he was honorably discharged due to a service related injury.
Tommy was preceded in death by: one brother, William White and three sisters, Patricia Battle, Helen White and Constance White.
He leaves to cherish his memories two sons: Tommy Jr. and Tommy Tu White of Burlington, North Carolina; four grandsons, Joshua, Jordan, Jon’Athn and Jayden White all of Burlington, North Carolina; companion: Pamela Bowling of Huntsville, AL; one sister: Mary Battle; four brothers: Earnest Keith, Christopher (Geraldine), Jimmy and David (Regina) White all of Huntsville, Alabama; one brother-in-law: Don Battle, Sr.; three aunts: Loretta Keith of Anniston, Alabama, Katie Reese of Center, Alabama and Bessie Joe Kimble of Gadsden, Alabama; one uncle, Joseph Keith of Las Vegas, Nevada and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m., Friday, March 11, 2016 at the Royal Chapel of Memories with Minister Dennis Green officiating. Interment will be in the Meadowlawn Garden of Peace. Mr. White will lie in repose one hour prior to funeral time.
Public viewing will be held from 12:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, March 10, 2016 and 8:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 11, 2016 at the Royal Funeral Home.
