Tommy E. Rouse age 79 of Corner, passed away February 15, 2018. He was a U.S. Marine Corp veteran; he was retired from the Birmingham Police Department; and was the retired Director of the Jefferson County Youth Detention Center.
Funeral services will be Tuesday February 20, 2018 at 2:30 pm in the New Horizon Memorial Chapel. Visitation is Tuesday from 1:00 pm until service time at the funeral home.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Lila Rouse; brother, Jerry Rouse and sister, Ann Dollar.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Carolyn E. Rouse; children, Steve Rouse, Tim Rouse (Theresa), Marsha DeCord (Frank) and Thomas Rouse (Gretchen); grandchildren, Megan Rouse, Josh Rouse (Ashley), Zach Rouse, Aaron DeCord, Caleb Rouse, Emily Rouse, Cameron DeCord, Abby Rouse and Elijah Rouse; great grandchildren, Jadyn and Jase Parsons, Hunter Moore, Paxton, Layton and Ryker Rouse, Blakely Watson and Chloe Green; several other relatives and many friends.
