Tommy Doyal Southerland, 72, of Tanner, AL, passed away on January 22, 2025, in Huntsville, AL. Tommy was born in Cochran, GA to Doyal and Lois Southerland on August 7, 1952. He worked as a Tire Builder for Kelly Springfield for almost 35 years. He enjoyed making jewelry and making others smile.
Tommy is survived by his wife, Debra Southerland of Tanner, AL and his sister, Susan Mastalski of Fay, NC. Tommy had a daughter, Andrea Northup of Tanner, AL and 3 sons, David Atwood of Lincolnton, NC, Bryan Atwood of Corpus Christi, TX, and William Southerland of Pinellas County, FL. Tommy had 8 grandchildren, Steven Atwood, Austin Northup, Kevin Northup Faye Atwood, Konnor Atwood, Dale Atwood, Landon Atwood, Alice Southerland and 1 great-granddaughter, Emma Northup. He is preceded in death by his father, Doyal Southerland; mother, Lois Southerland; brother, Reggie Southerland; and nephew, Reggie Southerland Jr.
