Timothy Shane Thompson passed away Nov. 26, 2015, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Shane was a lifelong resident of Lauderdale County and a 1976 graduate of Wilson High School where he played football and his father, Howard (Red) Thompson, taught.
Shane was employed with the TimesDaily since 1979.
Shane will be remembered for his love of Alabama football and doing yard work; he was especially fond of growing roses.
He was preceded in death by his father, Howard Thompson, and mother, Ruth Thompson.
He leaves behind to cherish his memories his wife of 15 years, Vanessa (Hill) Thompson; sister, Mary Ellen (Thompson) Wilson; and brother, William (Billy) Thompson; and nephews, Brant and Rusty Wilson
Shane will be truly missed by family and friends alike.
