Tileman Riley Logan, 90, Anderson, passed away on Sunday, August 6, 2023. Visitation will be Thursday, August 10, from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will immediately follow in the funeral home chapel with Ricky Nelson officiating. Interment will be in Shaw Cemetery, Leighton.
Tileman was a member and Deacon of Tuscumbia Valley Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the US Army, serving during the Korean War, and a member of the American Legion, Post #31, Tuscumbia. Tileman was preceded in death by his parents, William C. and Nancy Scott Logan; sisters, Rosie Rose, Edna Chaney, Della Logan, and Christine Perry; brother, Homer Logan; and first wife, Maggie Borden Logan.
Tileman is survived by his wife, Gayle Logan; daughter, Martha Marrs; bonus children, Lesley Merrill (Jason McKelvey), William Wallace (Dani), Wesley Wallace (Kaysi), and Thomas Wallace (Tracy); grandchildren, Adrena Roush (Jerry), Adam Fisher (Tabitha), and Polly Sexton; bonus grandchildren, Christina White; Luke and Bodey Merrill; Harper, Cash, Oliver, and Tripp Wallace; Colton Simpson; Hayden, Cooper, Madilyn, and Caroline Wallace; and Sawyer and Ryder Wallace; ten great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; mother-in-law, Gene Nelson; several nieces and nephews; and his furbaby, Tipper.
Pallbearers will be Adam Fisher, William Wallace, Wesley Wallace, Thomas Wallace, Lester Wallace, and Dave Putnam.
