Thomas William “Bud” Holt, age 78, of Muscle Shoals, died Monday, Jan. 20, 2014. His family will receive friends Thursday, 11-1 p.m., at Shady Grove United Methodist Church. His funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. in the church sanctuary with the Rev. J. W. “Vick” Vickers and the Rev. Stan Smith officiating. Burial will be in Shady Grove Cemetery.Mr. Holt was a Colbert County native and a member of Shady Grove United Methodist Church. He was retired from TVA and was a member of Blanton Hill Hunting Club. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clinton and Allyne Brown Holt, and his sister, Sally Holt O’Conner.He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Glendale Holt; son, Jeffrey Holt; daughter, La-Wanda Holt-McLin; brothers, J. C. Holt and Dan Holt; sister, Sara Bradford; and three grandchildren, Marissa McLin, Michael Trace McLin, and Amber Brown.Pallbearers are Clint Holt, Chet Holt, Donald Holt, Benny Frank Letsinger, Wayne Peoples, and Anthony Brown.Honorary pallbearers are Otha Kirk, Nolan Smith, and William Crosswhite.
