Thomas Tilden Beck III was born on November 26, 1931 and died on July 30, 2014. He was the son of Lillian Elvira Menne Beck and Thomas Tilden Beck, Jr. He was a life-long member of First Baptist Church, Tuscumbia. A member of the Deshler High School Class of 1950, he joined the Air Force after graduation. In 1955, he married Mary Frances Bobo. He worked for many years as a talented draftsman at TVA. Tommy loved the outdoors; he spent many happy days hunting and fishing. He enjoyed handcrafting wooden duck calls. He was the recipient of several awards from the Muscle Shoals Songwriters Association. Tommy and Frances delighted in entertaining nieces and nephews at their backyard swimming pool. Tommy is survived by his wife, Mary Frances; sister, Delores Beck Stanley; brothers, Robert Whitman Beck (Noel); and Michael Dale Beck (Carolyn); a number of cousins, nieces, and nephews. The family would like to express gratitude to Dr. William Hobbs and the staff at Mitchell Hollingsworth for their kindness and care of Tommy. A graveside service will be at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens, Saturday, August 2, 11:00 a.m. with The Rev. Mr. Kevin Johnson officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Robert D. Mitchell; Edward S. Robbins, Jr.; John Robbins; Jesse Duffey.
