Thomas Henry Davenport, Jr., 75, of Cherokee, AL, died Sunday, November 20, 2016, at Helen Keller Hospital. Tom was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, and storytelling. Visitation is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 22, 2016, at Iuka Church of Christ. Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 22, at Iuka Church of Christ, officiated by Lance Foster. Interment will follow in Colbert County Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers include Steve Swift, Larry Parker, Clay Lackey, Wayne Martin, Lee Landis, Robert Figueroa, Terry Lambert, and Mikey Shae. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. He is survived by his wife, Elaine McVay Davenport of Cherokee, AL; his mother in law, Dorothy McVay of Iuka; sister, Patricia Lindsey (Alan) of Muscle Shoals, AL; a nephew, Ronald Landis (Donna); a great nephew, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Landis; and several other nieces and nephews.
