Thomas Douglas Winton, age 68, of Belvidere, Tennessee, passed away peacefully at home on September 15, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on November 6, 1957, to the late Paul D. Winton and Rosia Z. Powell.
Thomas enjoyed living a quiet country life. He worked as a nursery worker for fifteen years and later worked at Fandrich Supply Company for six years before retiring. He loved trying to cook recipes he saw on television and enjoyed watching Gunsmoke, Yellowstone, and WWE. He especially looked forward to eating his wife’s famous dressing every Thanksgiving. When he wasn’t enjoying a good meal, Thomas could often be found playing and joking with his beloved great-grandchildren. He also enjoyed sitting in his man cave and listening to music.
In addition to his parents, Thomas was preceded in death by his sister, Paulette Winton.
Thomas is survived by his loving wife of forty-eight years, Joan Winton; daughters, Latonya (LeRoy) Scott and Shannon (the late Bodie Hayworth) Winton; grandchildren, Zoie (Dabonte Taylor), Bailee Stovall, Olivia Scott, Maleya Taylor, Jorilee Scott, and Emmanuel Scott; great-grandchildren, Kamila Taylor and Kreed Taylor; siblings, Alma (Paul) Delridge, Linda Perry, Clifford (Ada) Winton, and James Winton; and a host of nieces and nephews.
