Margaret Ann Gardner Morrison was born January 29, 1948, in Lawrenceburg, TN to the union of her parents the late Mr. Johnny Coleman Gardner and Mrs. Alberta Smith Gardner. Mrs. Morrison spent her adolescent and formative years living in Lawrence County, TN, enjoying the wildlife and scenery she grew to love. After graduating from Lawernce County High School, she would marry her husband Mr. Villard Dee Morrison and the two would remain married until his passing on June 16, 1984. She, being a hard worker, spent many years of her adult life as a seamstress for various different factories and also privately at home. Mrs. Morrison possessed a deep love for fishing and the outdoors but also traveling. Throughout her adult life she would visit 38 different states greatly enjoying seeing all the different sites and meeting new people. She was of the Christian faith and in her leisure time she loved listening to gospel music especially her favorite artists “Lorretta Lynn” and “Dolly Parton”. Throughout the years, she touched many lives but none as deeply as her family as she was a deeply devoted mother and grandmother. She held no other moments in her life closer to her heart than the precious memories made with her children and grandchildren. Mrs. Margaret Ann Gardner Morrison passed from this life on September 15, 2026 in Jackson, TN surrounded by family making her stay on this earth some 78 years and 7 months.
Those left to cherish her memory include her sons Jackie Morrison of Savannah and Patrick Morrison; siblings Imma-Gene Givots of Clarksville, KY and Jimmy Gardner of Lawrenceburg, TN; grandchildren Miakelby Morrison, Michael Morrison Jr., Colton Morrison and Jonathan Morrison; as well as several nieces, nephews and dear loved ones
In addition to her parents and husband she is preceded in death by her son Michael Morrison, siblings Larry Gardner and Joan Cotton
At her family’s request her body will be cremated, and a private memorial service will be held at a later time.
