Thomas Darryl Deaton, 54, of Cherokee, passed away on Friday, January 3, 2025. Visitation will be Sunday, January 5, 2025 from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home in Cherokee with the funeral immediately following in the funeral home chapel with Jeff Jeffreys officiating. There will be a private interment service for the family.
Darryl was a native and lifelong resident of Colbert County. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed spending time with his family.
Darryl is survived by his son, Ty Deaton (Kelly); parents, Tommy and Belva Deaton; brothers, Brandon Deaton (Linda) and Justin Deaton (Andrea); grandson, Kai Deaton; niece, Erin (Brady); nephews, Jace (Riley), Jeremiah, and Brody (Carly); and mother of his son Kristie Helton (Lee).
Pallbearers will be Joel Hayes, Brody Dexter, Matt Williams, Brad Jeffreys, Danny “Bubba” LeFan, and Brett Helton.
