Thera Runell Bryant, 101, passed away peacefully after a wonderful and fulfilling life on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at Traceway. She was the daughter of the late Dewey Burleson and Bertha Fewell Burleson; she was born on October 7, 1922. Thera retired from North Mississippi Medical Center after 25 years, she worked mostly in X-Ray and as a Surgery Technician. Thera is the widow of Euel Bryant; they were married for 69 years before his death in 2008. They were both members of Victory Baptist Church in Nettleton. Following their retirement, they both enjoyed fishing and camping throughout the continental United States and Mexico.
Thera is survived by two children, June Gary of Mooreville, and Lonnie Bryant (Paulette) of Slidell, Louisiana; 13 grandchildren, Lisa Jetton (Jack), Bubba Clayton (Tammy), Christi Allen (Little Bubba), Chris Bryant (Beth), Phil Bryant, Stephanie Irvine (Jason), Lonni Gayle (Billy), Lisa Laurenzi, (Jacob Walsdorf), Paul Laurenzi, David Bryant (Cathy), Greg Bryant (Shaye), Kenny Bryant (Rachel), and Ronnie Bryant; 32 great-grandchildren; 18 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Jo Ann Smith (Bob); brother, Billy Burleson; and daughter-in-law, Stella Bryant.
Besides her late husband and parents; she was also preceded in death by two children, Tammy Bryant and Larry Bryant; granddaughter, Renee Bryant; five siblings, Bobby Burleson, Buddy Burleson, Margie Allred, Dorothy Best, and Annette Seamore; and son-in-law, Dr. William Gary.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. until service time Saturday, December 23, 2023 at Pegues, Tupelo.
Services honoring her memory will be 12 p.m. Saturday, December 23, 2023 at the Jefferson Street Chapel of Pegues with Rev. Robert Folkes officiating. Burial will follow at Gilvo Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Bubba Clayton, Justin Clayton, Presley Allen, David Bryant, Kenny Bryant, and Clayton Angle.
Honorary pallbearers will be Greg Bryant, and Caleb Angle.
