Thelma Compton Joseph – Obituary

Mrs. Thelma Compton Joseph, 67 of Leesburg, passed away Saturday, February 21, 2015 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 1 P.M. at the Perry Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tommy McMurtry and Rev. David Bankston officiating. Burial will follow in Cherokee Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 P.M. Sunday.
Survivors include her husband, Leonard Joseph; sons, Leonard Dale (Marcella) Joseph of Leesburg, John Music of Leesburg and Scotty Barnett of Gadsden; daughters, Rena Mullins of Leesburg and Laura (Chris) Meade of Centre; brothers, Ollie Compton and Estil Compton of Prestonsburg, KY; sister, Sally Kinney of Warsaw, IN; 8 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, Christopher Joseph and several brothers and sisters.
Pallbearers: Damon, Scotty and Ernie Stamper, Matt McHugh, Scotty Barnett and Joey Mullins.
Mrs. Joseph was a native of Prestonsburg, KY, the daughter of the late Henry and Stella Ousley Compton and was a Baptist by faith.
