SHEFFIELD — The historic Ritz Theatre is proud to announce its
upcoming production of the beloved cult classic musical, Little Shop of Horrors. Performances
will take place October 23rd – 25th, offering audiences a chance to experience the darkly
comedic tale of love, ambition, and a man-eating plant in the heart of downtown Sheffield.
Set in a struggling flower shop on Skid Row, Little Shop of Horrors follows meek floral assistant
Seymour Krelborn, who discovers a strange and mysterious plant that just might change his life.
As Seymour’s fortunes grow, so does the plant’s appetite—for something far more sinister than
water and sunlight. With catchy doo-wop, Motown-inspired music, and unforgettable characters,
this fan favorite is a hilarious and heartfelt experience for theatergoers of all ages
(recommended PG-13 for thematic elements).
The Ritz Theatre, a cultural landmark in the Shoals area, continues its mission of presenting
engaging productions that bring the community together. This staging of Little Shop of Horrors
will showcase the talents of local performers, designers, and musicians, highlighting the
creativity and vibrancy of the region.
