Funeral service for Thanuel “Bud” Cole, 92, will be Friday, September 22, 2017 at 1:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Carl Maynard and Bro. Nathan Green officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Hartselle City Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, September 22, 2017 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home.
Mr. Cole died on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at Decatur Morgan Hospital. He was born May 2, 1925, in Morgan County to William Cole and Sarah Weiman Cole. He worked at Decatur Iron and Steel for 25 years before going to Wolverine Tube and worked till his retirement. Mr. Cole was a faithful member of Patillo Street Church of God, where he served as a Deacon and Trustee. His favorite things to do were trade tractors, bushhog and work up gardens. He was a great man, a dedicated christian, a wonderful family man and a wonderful friend. He was preceded in death by his wife: Occie Busch Cole, his parents, and siblings: Pauline Johnson, Gordie Henson, Ruby Hightower, Ester Lackey, Joe Cole, Pete Cole, Junior Cole, John Cole and Lee Cole.
