Terry Truman Highfield – Obituary

F.12.26.18 Terry Highfield.jpgTerry Truman Highfield, 60, Muscle Shoals, died Saturday, Dec. 22, 2018, from sudden and unexpected heart complications.

Terry was born April 4, 1958, in Sheffield, Alabama and was a lifelong area resident. He was a graduate of Sheffield High School and continued his education at University of North Alabama where he was a member of Sigma Chi. He was a member of Cliff Haven Church where he served as Men’s Ministry Director. He worked for Reynolds Metals and later was the Vice-President of Operations for Cici’s Pizza.

He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Tammy Highfield; sons, Brian Ashlock and Chris Ashlock; mother, Margaret Highfield; brother, Larry(Lisa) Highfield; brother-in-law, Jerry(Vickie) Farris; nephews, Matt Highfield, Tommy Britton, and Craig(Casey) and Chad(Lori) Farris; nieces, Heather(Jonathan) King, Katie(Ben) Highfield, and Cara Highfield; mother-in-law, Anita Pounders; and the light of his life were his grandchildren, Reilly Webb Ashlock, Dallas Dean Ashlock, and Lauren Reece Mitchell.

He was preceded in death by father, Sam Highfield; father-in-law, Burlon Pounders; and niece, Krystal Farris.

Visitation will be December 26, 2018, from 1 p.m.-3 p.m. with service immediately following, all taking place at Morrison Funeral Home. Pastor Neal Wright will officiate with remembrances being made by son, Brian Ashlock and best friends, Dr. Jack McLendon and Tim Milam.

Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Ricky Bourland, Dr. Bill Meckes, Tom Strong, Pat Fitzpatrick, Charles Young, Tommy Campbell, and Jimmy Holland.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Cliff Haven Church of God of Prophecy Camp Booth or Building Fund, 1601 Andrew Avenue, Sheffield AL 35660.
