Teresa Ann Mitchell passed away Friday, June 27, 2025 at the North Mississippi Medical Center after a courageous battle with cancer. She was 68 years old. A Lee County native and lifelong resident, she was born January 31, 1957 to Gaston and Betty Dozier Morgan. After her high school graduation and earning her Associates Degree from Itawamba Junior College, Teresa began her 41 year career with Renasant Bank, retiring as Executive Assistant to the President and Board. She was a devoted member of Andrews Chapel Church where she served as a Sunday School teacher, Administrative Assistant, and president of the women’s group. Although Teresa enjoyed helping others through her church and career, her greatest joy and priority was her family. She loved her husband, daughters, and grandsons passionately, cherishing every moment spent with them.
Teresa is survived by her husband of nearly 44 years, Mike Mitchell of Mooreville; her daughters, Elizabeth Prewitt and husband, Dudley, of Oxford and Laura Enlow and husband, Mark, of Richmond; and two grandsons, Boone and Hank Enlow.
She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Marjorie Morgan and John Morgan.
Visitation will be 5 until 7 p.m. Saturday, June 28, 2025 at Pegues, Tupelo.
Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, June 29 at the Jefferson Street Chapel with Bro. Lance Carpenter officiating. Graveside services will follow at Andrews Chapel Cemetery
Pallbearers will be Mitchell Tharp, Michael Tharp, Stan Hussey, Chip Hussey, Herman Hussey, Jr. and Chris Hussey
