Sylena Darlene Ricks, of Tuscumbia, passed away March 21, 2018. She loved fishing and spending time with her family, and was especially proud of her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Roger W. Pate, Sr. and Denise Hill.
She is survived by her spouse, Christopher D. Ricks; mother, Joanne Pate; children, Jacob Herston (Alyssa), Victoria Bullock (John), Brianna Cottrell (Arthur Cottrell Jr.), Christopher D. Ricks Jr. (Sequoia); brothers, Barry Pate (Starr), Roger Walker Pate Jr. (Katina), George Rupley, Matthew Rupley (Whitney); grandchildren, Brayden, Makynlee, Kali, Atticus, Khari, Karson, Amari, Kobe, Corbin, Declan, Annalia; numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, and loved ones.
Pallbearers will be Michael Baker, Braxton Gilbert, Daniel Connie, Hunter Haithcoat, Tristen Smith, Brandon Pate, Tanner Pate, Carter Pate, and Terry Lee.
Visitation will be today, March 23, from noon – 1 p.m. at Spry-Williams Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow at 1 p.m. in the chapel with Brother Jerry Balentine officiating. Burial will be at Glendale Cemetery, Leighton.
