Syble Duckett Allen Mrs. Syble Allen, 87, passed away peacefully on June 24, 2026, at Shepherd’s Cove Hospice, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on December 18, 1938, Syble lived a life defined by faith, service, compassion, and love for her country. A proud patriot, she dedicated more than 25 years of service to the United States Postal Service before retiring. Throughout her life, she faithfully served both her church and community, always placing the needs of others before her own.
Syble was a charter member of Central Baptist Church in Albertville, where she helped establish and develop the church from its beginning. She devoted nearly all of her adult life to teaching Sunday School, sharing God’s Word and investing in countless lives. She also faithfully volunteered with the Pregnancy Crisis Center, where her compassionate heart for young women and families made a lasting impact. Whether through a kind word, heartfelt prayer, or helping hand, Syble had a gift for making others feel loved and valued. Her heart was open to anyone who needed encouragement, guidance, or simply someone to care.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 52 years, C.W. “Buddy” Allen; her parents, A.V. and Julia Duckett; her brothers, Jack Duckett and Truman Duckett; and her sister, Linda Gail Duckett Davis.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Leslie (Mike) Clackley, Pat (Amy) Allen, and Randy (April) Allen; grandchildren, Nolan (Brooke) Clackley, Katie (Alan) Roper, Allie Beth Clackley, Ben Allen, Olivia Allen, and James Allen; great-granddaughter, Blaire Clackley; brothers, James Duckett and Scott (Patty) Duckett; sister, Martha Johnson; sister-in-law, Nancy Duckett; a host of nieces and nephews; along with extended family members, dear friends, and the many lives she touched through her years of faithful service.
A celebration of Syble’s life will be held on Friday, June 26, 2026, at Central Baptist Church in Albertville. Visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m., with the funeral service following at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Marshall Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Ben Allen, Jason Duckett, Scott Duckett, Kyle Duckett, Jeff Johnson, and Mike Clackley. James Allen will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
In Lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made in Syble’s honor to Shepherd’s Cove Hospice in appreciation for the compassionate care and support they provided to both Syble and her family.
Syble’s unwavering faith, servant’s heart, and love for her family and community leave behind a legacy that will continue to inspire generations. Though she will be deeply missed, those who knew and loved her find comfort in knowing she has received her eternal reward and is reunited with her Savior and her beloved Buddy.
