LAUDERDALE COUNTY-The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department released a statement on the search for an escaped suspect who escaped from custody today, Friday, April 15:
“A Lauderdale County man arrested earlier this afternoon is on the run. Around mid-day, Lauderdale County sheriff’s investigators arrested 21-year-old Jack Avery Brown for theft of property and burglary.
Late this afternoon, Brown escaped custody while being treated at ECM Hospital in Florence.
The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department and Florence Police are currently searching the western portion of the city for Brown. He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, dark-colored jogging pants and slip on shoes.
If you see Jack Brown you are urged to call 9-1-1. Do not attempt to approach him.”
