Suspect Arrested On Drug Charges In Athens

ATHENS-Athens Police Chief Floyd Johnson released a statement regarding the arrest of one suspect on charges of drug possession on March 30:

“On March 30, 2016 investigators Mickey Hart, Joe McClanahan and Officer Paul Richey responded to a complaint at Athens Village apartments on Elm Street about the odor of marijuana coming from apartment 39.Investigators made contact with Nicholas Gordon. Gordon had a plastic bag containing 2 grams of marijuana in his coat pocket. He also had two bags containing crack cocaine weighing 38.8 grams. Investigators obtained a warrant for Gordon’s arrest and he was arrested on that warrant last night.”
