Samuel Eugene Willis, 83, of Huntsville, passed away Thursday. He was born September 7, 1932 to Henry and Lola Willis in Jasper, AL. Mr. Willis was an Air Force veteran and retired from Redstone Arsenal in 1993 after 38 years of service.
Mr. Willis was preceded in death by his father, mother, two sisters and his son Gary Willis.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Lilian Israel Willis; children: David Willis (Patsy) and Michelle Whitlock (Doug); grandchildren: Adam Willis, Greg Willis, Evan Willis, Tiffany Willis, and Jacob Whitlock; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who loved his family unconditionally. Mr. Willis loved to fix things and loved teaching his values to his grandkids. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
