FLORENCE-The Florence Police have issued a statement on the stabbing death that took place in the early morning of Sunday, May 1:

“At approximately 02:50 am on Sunday May 1st, 2016, Florence Police officers responded to Alpine Village Apartments on the report that a person had been stabbed. Upon arrival, officers located Eric Lee Moore, a 33 year old white male from Florence, inside apartment 1218-A in the floor with multiple stab wounds. Moore was immediately transported by ambulance to ECM hospital where he was subsequently pronounced deceased.

Bradley Ray Greenhill, a 22 year old white male, was identified as a person of interest. Greenhill and Moore had previously lived as roommates together. Greenhill was transported to police headquarters and after speaking with detectives has been charged with Murder for the stabbing death of Eric Moore.

The stabbing is believed to have resulted during a physical altercation between Moore and Greenhill. After the altercation, Bradley Greenhill alerted a neighbor and asked the neighbor to call 911.
